Some knitters are natural bloggers with beautiful sites like jeanflores (The Scottish Lamb), or posts that read like a conversation with a friend, like LisaW (Midwife Knits). Some knitters amaze with their designs like smariek, spinning like Jayne, or output of wonderful projects like Svetlana.
I am not among that tier of knitters, designers, artists, or bloggers, but I hope you'll take a look at my projects. I use this blog to share my current projects and sometimes patterns as I develop them, as well as an occasional opinion. Thanks for visiting.

- I live in rural Wisconsin near Green Bay. I've been knitting about 5 years. On Ravelry I'm sjuliet. I am blessed with 4 children. DD1 is entering 7th grade, DS1 and DD2 are twins entering 6th grade, and DS2 is entering Kindergarten.

My knitting style
I knit most things by my own design, top-down in the round. Barbara Walker's Knitting from the Top is indispensable.
Exceptions are hats, which I work my own design from the bottom so I can try on the lower cuff as it progresses OR with a back-and forth band; and socks and mittens, for which I still follow written patterns.
I like to have at least two projects going, one challenge, and one mindless. I'd say TV knitting, but I don't have a TV. It's Newspaper Knitting to me.
All pattern details presented here are, to the best of my knowledge, my own designs or in the public domain (see http://www.geocities.com/jbtocker/copyright/), or posted with permission.
